About Night Lights
Night Lights, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, provides respite care 100% free respite care for children ages 1 month to 13 years old who have special needs and their neuro-typical siblings. Our program is ongoing year-round, with one night of free respite at each location, 10-12 months out of the year. We have locations in Arvada, Broomfield, Littleton, Colorado Springs, Parker and Grand Junction.
For each Night Lights evening, trained and background checked volunteers provide an evening of respite care and fun through pre-planned activities including arts and crafts, movie time, special guests, free play, sensory play, and music. Each child with special needs has their own “buddy.” This one-on-one attention ensures safety and personal attention for the entire evening. A registered nurse is also on-site for all Night Lights events to tend to medical needs that might arise during the night. If we had to charge families for respite, it would cost approximately $85 per child to attend each month.
